World Class Library

As of 2006, Berkeley's library system holds materials in more than 400 languages and contains over 13.5 million volumes and maintains over 70,000 serial titles.The libraries together cover over 12 acres (49,000 m2) of land and compose one of the largest library complexes in the world. In 2003, the Association of Research Libraries ranked it as the top public and third overall university library in North America based on various statistical measures of quality.

Recreational sports

Cal Sports Clubs bring together students with similar interests to participate in one of 35 competitive sports. Open to all skill sets.Crew became University of California, Berkeley's first organized sport in 1868, and its program has skyrocketed since; Cal's men's crew team has represented the U.S. three times in the Olympics and has won 16 national championships.

Portable Air Cleaners & Fans

The campus response to the Coronavirus pandemic includes a combination of protective measures with vaccination and masking being the most important. The use of high-efficiency purified air (HEPA) cleaners has been suggested by agencies like the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for improving ventilation indoors when there is insufficient fresh air introduction by HVAC systems, or natural ventilation from windows.

  • Emptying Trash & Recycling Cans - Once a Week
  • Refinish hard Flooring - Once every Three Years
  • Lab Space cleaning is a routine service and does not require a service request. If you notice an urgent problem, please contact our Customer Service Center or notify you building manager.

Recreational sports

    Routine classroom cleaning includes:
  • Emptying Trash & Recycling Cans – Daily
  • Arranging Classroom furniture - Daily
  • Clean Instructor Tables or Podium- Daily
  • lean Surfaces on all unencumbered space. -Monthly
  • Refinish Hard Floor Surfaces - Once every Two years
